Makers Market

May 13, 2016

It's almost here! On Saturday, May 28th, we will be hosting a Makers Market here at The Bird Nest! This event will feature local artists, demonstrations, music, and more! The event will take place from 11am-5pm right here at 25 Water Street in Guilford. Parking is available in the newly redesigned and remodeled Water Street municipal parking lot next to and behind the Gallery.

Several of our gallery artists will be in attendance with examples of their work beyond what we carry in the gallery including new products and limited edition pieces. Some will also be demonstrating their techniques and available for any questions about their process and materials. Patricia Vener will be demonstrating intricate bead weaving methods at 2:30pm along with examples of her finished pieces.

Other participants from the gallery include artists Kathy Picard, Lisa Fatone, and Emily VanDerMaelen who make jewelry as well as other wares to showcase such as repurposed vintage treasures, hand-lettered signs, and whimsical sewn dolls. Other artists from the gallery include painter Holly Whiting, bath & body products by ShaBee Chic, fiber artist Gail Kotowski, silver stamped pieces by Spoons to Spare, and more! If you are an artist and would like to sign up, there's still time!

We will also be featuring guest artist Brosily Bath & Body. Owner Navine creates all-natural soaps, body butters, and other products for a range of skin concerns. She handcrafts each product using vegan food-grade ingredients and a variety of essential oils to make each product safe and luxurious. Find out more on their website.

Stop by the Makers Market on May 28th to see a range of art and handcrafted products from local artists!
